Renters may obtain their own auto insurance policy specifically for the rental vehicle using the vehicle VIN provided by AITF Auto Rentals, provided the insurance carrier knowingly accepts the vehicle as a rental for compensation.

The policy must:
• Apply to a vehicle owned by AITF Auto Rentals or its affiliated vehicle-owning entities
• Permit use of the vehicle as a rental for compensation
• Include collision and comprehensive coverage
• List AITF Auto Rentals (or the applicable vehicle-owning entity) as Loss Payee
• Remain active for the full rental period
The renter’s insurance agent must be informed and acknowledge in writing (on the declarations page) that:
• The vehicle is owned by AITF Auto Rentals or an affiliated entity, and
• The vehicle is being rented for compensation
Policies issued without proper disclosure will not be accepted, even if coverage appears valid.
Insurance policies that:
• Do not disclose rental use, or
• Do not include collision and comprehensive (damage) coverage
will not be accepted, even if the declarations page appears valid.
